- Disc Inspector OEM is designed for manufacturers who want to provide
- their customers with a tool that assists in the installation process and
- also provides a common support platform for resolving problems. DI/OEM
- can test both the drive and media without device drivers or system
- utilities, determining that the CD-ROM drive is functioning properly,
- even when the system is configured incorrectly.

- DI/OEM can be configured for each OEM's unique requirements and supplies
- a complete set of diagnostics for testing the CD-ROM drive interface and
- loading mechanism as well as the drive's audio and data capabilities.

- DI/OEM provides pass/fail results for the tray/caddy and interface; left
- and right audio channels; and data loop, performance and stroke for
- data/media. The test also denotes average access time (in milliseconds)
- for data/media. Results are captured in a database eliminating the need
- to re-run the test to request more detail.

- The SQM(tm) software engine utilizes an easy-to-use application script
- that runs on DOS, Windows 95 and Windows NT without changes to the
- script. With SQM, engineering/manufacturing diagnostics can be
- integrated into DI/OEM.
